Francis Banks is an R&B artist persona that I created for our Music Cover project. Turning away from my typical musical interests at the time (Rap, Hip-hop) I decided to lean more into Alternative R&B, a genre I was just scratching the surface of last year. This decision allowed me to adopt a more familiar style which was one of calm designs, pastel colours and simple shapes. It also took me on a bit of a journey of discovery, looking at artists like Daniel Caesar, Frank Ocean and Brent Faiyaz for inspiration, all artists I am now an avid listener of, something I can thank this project for.
